Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Colossians 3:15

One of the verses my children are memorizing is this: "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts...and be thankful." This is probably my favorite verse they are memorizing right now. So, I looked up the middle part, the part our school curriculum though unnecessary for a 4/5 year old to remember. The whole verse says this: "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, since as members of one body  you were called to peace. And be thankful." God has been teaching me so much about resting in him, not worrying, giving him all my cares, anxiety, etc. But can you imagine, letting the peace of God, God's peace, perfect peace, RULE in our hearts. I can do this with Christ. He promises that to me in this verse. I have to let the peace of God in, and it can rule in my heart. Not only this but, we are CALLED to peace. And commanded to be thankful. God doesn't say "because I will make your life perfect, or I won't let anything bother you, or you will have no stress". He doesn't say to just be thankful when times are peaceful. He calls us to have the peace of God, true peace, (which is to me, true joy) and is something to be thankful for. Every time I worry or stress out through out the day, I can come back to this, God's perfect peace is right there for me to cling to.
