Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Adoption Update//April 2014 Matching Grant Info

I somehow LOST a blog post. You know that one about the completely awesome donation and matching grant...yeah. I was very frustrated. Very. But let's try that again....

Dear Friends and Family,

We cannot tell you how much we appreciate your support through our adoption journey.

We are so thankful to be able to bring our children home to such an amazing group of

people. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and financial support so far.

We are happy to say that our agency expenses are paid for!!! Due to unforeseen

circumstances, we’ve had to raise much more than we had originally anticipated, but God

has provided. And in His perfect timing, we know He will continue to do so. Currently,

we are saving up for one, possibly two, more trips to bring our children home from the

Democratic Republic of Congo. Unfortunately, it may not work out for us to bring our

children home at the same time. This leaves us very uncertain about the amount of money

we actually have to raise. We do know that we need $10,000 more for one trip. We are

praying that we get to bring Crusoe and Isa home at the same time (and we are praying it

is SOON!!!)

Yesterday we received the news that we have been awarded another matching grant! We

are so grateful to Hand in Hand Adoption, Inc., a non-profit private operating foundation.

Hand in Hand will match any funds donated by our friends and family for the expenses of

our adoption. All funds received will be matched dollar for dollar by Hand in Hand up to

$2500. All donations are tax deductible.

Please find the enclosed grant award letter that will explain more about the program. You

can also find out more from their website at www.handinhandadopt.org. If you have any

more questions feel free to contact us tiffanyandjeff@gmail.com or

contact Hand in Hand directly at 913-248-5015 or handinhandadopt@gmail.com.

Please send all donations made out to Hand in Hand Christian Adoption postmarked by

May 16 to:

Thank you for praying with us.

UPDATE: We have been so blessed! We had a very generous donation of $5000 come in the day we sent these letters out. So, we only have $5000 more to raise to be fully funded. Once we raise our $2500, it will be matched by Hand in Hand for $2500.

UPDATE: April 18, 2014 We have received $1000 towards our matching grant!!! **We are $1500 away from getting our matching grant and being fully funded. **Yay!!!!

**Fully Funded=ONE trip to Congo. We are hoping and praying to bring them home at the same time!

"Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7

Happy Flapjack Friday!
